The Learning Centre, part of the student support network at Lethbridge Community College, provides a variety of academic support services in an informal learning environment. These services are available to all students enrolled in programs at Lethbridge Community College. Programs and ServicesThe Learning Centre offers the following academic services:
With the exception of credit courses, these services may typically be accessed by students at any time during the school year. Credit courses are offered within the conventional time frame of the College's semesters or terms. StaffUnder the direction of the Learning Centre chairperson, Rika Snip, the Learning Centre is staffed by fully qualified instructors specializing in the areas of writing, reading, math, science, and study skills. Numerous peer tutors are maintained on staff to handle academic needs relating to specific program content courses. The Learning Centre is also staffed by an individual responsible for the coordination of services for students with special needs. Hours of OperationDuring the fall and winter semesters, the Learning Centre is open during the following
hours: FacilitiesThe Learning Centre is located at Lethbridge Community College, room CE1340 (SW corner
of library). Within the Learning Centre, students have access to a variety of spaces
in which to work and learn, including quiet study carrels and tables, a small group
discussion room, and computer stations.
